SERVER RACK

Server Rack

TACTICAL INTELLIGENCE & STRATEGY

The Server Rack is a large, industrial electronics container typically found inside data centers, control rooms, server halls, and other similar indoor areas. These will be labeled on maps as electrical sourced zones. Visually, it appears as a tall, metal server cabinet covered with a metal door. It stands out in technical environments like power plants, research facilities, and space or communications buildings, where it is usually placed in rows or clusters alongside other electronic infrastructure. This is a requires you to breach the metal cover to open, meaning interaction locks you into a long opening animation and leaves you fully vulnerable. The breach time is significant enough that it should only be attempted when the area is cleared or when you are confident no players or ARC patrols are nearby. Like other high-tier electrical containers, Server Racks are often located in high-traffic or contested interiors, increasing the risk factor further. The loot pool is highly specialized toward electrical and mechanical items. Common drops include Wires, Metal Parts, Plastic Parts, Batteries, Sensors, Cooling Fans, and Power Components, along with mid-tier electronics used for general crafting and upgrades. More importantly, Server Racks have a strong chance to contain advanced materials and rare components, such as Processors, Damaged Heat Sinks, and Fried Motherboards, which are often tied to higher-tier crafting progression. Loot is also cluster-efficient, meaning Server Racks often spawn in groups. This makes them ideal for planned “electrical runs,” where players systematically clear multiple racks in one route to stockpile large amounts of crafting materials in a single raid. Because of their density and consistency, they are one of the most efficient ways to gather electrical resources in bulk. Highly recommended—but situational. Server Racks are one of the best sources of electrical and mechanical items in the game, but the long breach animation and exposure risk mean they should not be opened casually. Instead, treat them as a planned farming target: run them when you specifically need electronics, not as a quick-loot option during movement. If you do it this way, you will not need to worry about electrical or mechanical crafting materials for a long time. In short: extremely valuable, but only when committed to a dedicated loot route.
