PICKUP

TACTICAL INTELLIGENCE & STRATEGY
The Pickup category isn’t a traditional container; it’s a catch-all term for loose loot found directly in the world. These are items sitting out in the open: on tables, shelves, carts, floors, workbenches, or tucked into corners of buildings. Unlike containers, there’s no interaction cost—you simply grab the item instantly and keep moving. Because of this, Pickup loot is one of the fastest and safest ways to gather resources. There’s no animation, no sound commitment, and no risk of being locked in place. In a game where time and exposure matter, that alone makes it incredibly valuable. The pool here is extremely broad. You can find everything from low-tier junk and recyclables to valuable sellables, crafting materials, consumables, and even higher-end items like Advanced Electrical Components, Laboratory Reagents, or niche quest items. In some cases, you can even come across weapons, mods, blueprints, or quick-use items just sitting out in the open. Loot in ARC Raiders is heavily tied to location, meaning what you find on the ground is directly influenced by the sector type, i.e., mechanical zones lean mechanical loot, residential zones lean valuables, and so on. This makes Pickup loot highly dynamic. A random shelf in a strong sector can be more valuable than an entire container in a weaker one. Areas like Stella Montis carts, Dam shelving, or industrial workspaces are especially worth scanning as you move through them. Always be looking. Pickup loot is pure efficiency—zero risk, zero time cost, and potentially high reward. It should never be your primary objective, but it should always be part of your awareness. This is passive loot at its best. If it’s there, take it.
