But it can very much be worth to loot because it spawns good crafting materials and certain quest/project items. If you find one, you can typically find multiple. The quest/project items in Audio Recorders are: Cooling Fan, Damaged Heatsink. These items are not particularly valuable, but they are required for certain quests/projects. Their sell value is not the best. The crafting materials are: Battery, Wires, Processor, Plastic Parts, and Advanced Electrical Components. These items are quite valuable. They are needed to craft combat gear and utility items of all tiers. Things such as Mk. 3 augments, photoelectric cloaks, jolt mines, surge shield rechargers, tagging grenades, medium+ shields, and more. Therefore, Audio Recorders are worth looting if you are in need of crafting materials for specific utility items, augments, and/or shields. Also if you need Cooling Fans or Damaged Heatsinks for a quest/project. If you are good on these items, you can skip looting Audio Recorders. If you need money, there are better containers to loot. Also, the loot pool changes depending on the area. For example, Buried City's Space Travel location will hold Audio Recorders that have Advanced Electrical Components, meanwhile the ones in Library only have Wires.
